Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Upon arrival, you will begin the trip on horse back to the canyon, the so called Siq, and then by foot to the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. I had a good experience on the 'Taste of Jordan in Petra Tour' with Memphis Tours. Petra was definitely the highlight of the trip, and the food throughout the tour was delicious.However, there was an issue that our driver was a little late on our trip towards north to Jerash, but Our guide did his best to resolve the issue. Despite this, I still enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to others.
