The Soul of Morocco
10 Days/ 9 Nights · 9 Nights

On August 2, 2027, the sky above Tangier goes dark for 4 minutes and 50 seconds, the second-longest total solar eclipse of the 21st century. If you're choosing Morocco specifically to witness this, this is the tour built for you: the eclipse, plus the essential imperial cities, done properly, without an extended commitment. Tangier offers a 79% clear-sky probability based on 24 years of satellite weather data, making it among the most reliable viewing conditions anywhere along the eclipse path. This 10-day journey positions you there on the morning of August 2, then moves through Casablanca's Hassan II Mosque, Rabat's royal history, the blue streets of Chefchaouen, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, Fez's UNESCO-listed medina, and Marrakech's Majorelle Garden and Koutoubia Mosque. Every day includes a licensed English-speaking guide, air-conditioned transport, and accommodation with daily breakfast. Memphis Tours has operated Morocco tours, serving over 200,000 travellers annually. Places for August 2, 2027, are limited and filling steadily. Reserve your spot! This well-planned itinerary puts you in a prime spot to see the eclipse. It also highlights Morocco’s architecture, imperial history, and true cultural experiences. Enjoy guided tours of historic kasbahs, traditional souks, and Berber villages. This Morocco Eclipse trip pairs a rare sky event with an unforgettable North African experience.   Want More Time in Morocco?   If the eclipse is the reason you're finally taking the bigger Morocco trip you've been considering, our 12-day Morocco Eclipse 2027 tour adds an overnight Sahara desert camp and an extended rooftop Marrakech finale built for travellers who want the eclipse to be one extraordinary day inside a longer, fuller journey. See the 12-day tour →   Want the Full Eclipse Story First? Before you book, you might want to know exactly what makes Tangier such a strong viewing location, the science behind the 79% clear sky probability, how the path of totality crosses Morocco, and what 4 minutes and 50 seconds of darkness actually feels like. Our complete Morocco Solar Eclipse 2027 guide covers all of it. This tour is built around everything that the guide explains.

After breakfast, travel north to Tangier, known as the "Bride of the North." This key city sits at the south entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. It lies only a few miles from Spain's coast. Since Phoenician times, Tangier has been a key gateway between Africa and Europe.

It then continues to the lively souks of Petit Socco and Grand Socco. There, you can sample local goods and try street food at your own pace.
