Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred comfortably to your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Take some time to settle in and relax after your journey. The remainder of the day is free at leisure, giving you the opportunity to unwind and prepare for your upcoming safari adventure.

Overnight in Dar es Salaam.

After breakfast, depart from Dar es Salaam city centre in a comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle and travel to the renowned Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival, enjoy a late lunch at Rufiji River Camp before setting out on your first Selous Game Reserve safari.

Spend the afternoon on a thrilling game drive, taking in the reserve’s diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes. After the safari, return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Enjoy a full day of Selous Game Reserve safari adventures as you explore the reserve on classic game drives in a 4x4 safari vehicle. Keep watch for the abundant wildlife that inhabits this remarkable wilderness, including waterbuck, southern reedbuck, and bushbuck.

With some luck, you may also spot rarer species such as sable antelope, greater kudu, and lions roaming through their natural habitat. After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, set out on an exciting walking safari in Selous Game Reserve accompanied by an armed ranger. Experience the wilderness from a different perspective as you walk through the bush, observing wildlife, tracks, sounds, and other signs of nature up close. Keep your camera ready for memorable wildlife encounters.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Rufiji River, exploring its channels and lakes while surrounded by hippos and crocodiles. The waterways also attract a variety of birdlife, including herons, storks, ducks, and stilts. You may also spot land animals such as giraffes and elephants along the riverbanks. Return to Rufiji River Camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Return to the camp for an early lunch before departing for Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the city centre.
