Iconic Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise

Arrive in Cairo, where your Memphis Tours representative will meet you inside the airport after immigration and customs, holding a sign with your name. They’ll help with formalities, then transfer you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. At check-in, your tour manager reviews your itinerary, confirms pick-up times, and answers any last-minute questions.

Enjoy breakfast, then meet your private Egyptologist guide and drive to the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Learn the stories behind Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and capture classic photos from the best viewpoints. Continue to an authentic Egyptian restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) complex* near the pyramids, where you will admire the complete Tutankhamun collection, displayed together for the first time. Explore the main galleries, the Grand Hall, Grand Staircase and masterpieces from across ancient Egyptian history.
Your guide will focus on the must-see highlights while also allowing time to explore on your own before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your included flight to Aswan. On arrival, meet your guide and board your 5★ Nile cruise, your home for the next three nights.
This afternoon, visit the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and Hathor, magnificently relocated to an island to save it from the Nile’s waters. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient quarries, where you’ll see how these massive monuments were carved. Return to the ship for dinner and your first night on the Nile.

Wake up on the Nile and enjoy breakfast on board. You can relax on the ship or join an optional small-group excursion to Abu Simbel by road—two awe-inspiring temples carved into the mountainside and saved by UNESCO from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
In the afternoon, sail to Kom Ombo. With your guide, explore the twin temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. See the unique double design and carved reliefs before returning to the ship. Sail onwards toward Edfu, dinner and overnight on board.

After breakfast, travel by horse and carriage (the only way to reach the site) to visit Edfu Temple, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, dedicated to Horus. Return to the ship and enjoy the scenery as you sail through Esna Lock toward Luxor.
On arrival in Luxor, tour the East Bank with your guide: stroll the vast complex of Karnak Temple with its forest of columns, then continue to the beautifully lit Luxor Temple. Return to the cruise for dinner and your final night on board.

Before breakfast, you can join an unforgettable hot-air balloon ride over Luxor’s West Bank (extra cost; weather-dependent), drifting above temples, fields, and villages as the sun rises.
After breakfast, you disembark and cross to the West Bank of Luxor, the ancient Theban necropolis to Explore the Valley of the Kings, burial site of pharaohs (your ticket includes entry to three tombs; Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, and Seti I require separate tickets). Continue to the elegant Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and stop for photos at the towering Colossi of Memnon.
After your tour, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, meet your representative and transfer to your hotel for a final night in Egypt.
