Peru's greatest hits in six unhurried days, entirely private. Begin in Lima, where colonial plazas, the catacombs of Santo Domingo, and clifftop Pacific views set the scene. Then climb into the Andes to Cusco, the old Inca capital, where the golden Temple of the Sun sits beneath Spanish stone and mighty Sacsayhuamán, Q'enco, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay wait just beyond the city. Wander the Sacred Valley — the markets of Pisac, a buffet lunch in Urubamba, the towering terraces of Ollantaytambo — before the train carries you to Machu Picchu, a Wonder of the World that somehow still exceeds every expectation. With private guides and transfers throughout, handpicked hotels, train and bus tickets, and round-the-clock assistance, all you have to do is arrive.
