This thirteen-day private journey traces Peru from the Pacific to the high Andes. It begins in Lima, then continues to Paracas and the Ballestas Islands, home to Humboldt penguins and sea lions, and onward to a flight above the Nazca Lines — vast desert figures that remain unexplained to this day. Arequipa follows, glowing in white sillar stone beneath Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Picchu, with the Monastery of Santa Catalina at its heart. Then the Colca Canyon and its condors, Lake Titicaca with the Uros and Taquile islands, the scenic route to Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and finally the citadel of Machu Picchu. Private guides and transfers, carefully chosen hotels, and all tickets and entrance fees included.
13 Days / 12 Nights
Welcome to Peru! Our team will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest or explore, if time allows.
Overnight in Lima.
After breakfast, discover Lima on a panoramic city tour: the Colonial Centre, Main Square, Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop's Palace, and the Municipality. Step inside the Convent of San Francisco to see its cloisters and eerie catacombs, then take in Huaca Pucllana and the sweeping Pacific views from Miraflores. In the afternoon, we'll transfer you to the station for the three-hour bus ride to Paracas, where our team will be waiting.
Overnight in Paracas.
Meals: Breakfast
This morning we set sail for the Ballestas Islands, passing the mysterious Candelabra etched into the hillside—your guide will share the many theories behind it. At the islands, meet the locals: Humboldt penguins, sea lions, pelicans, and gulls in abundance. Back on the mainland, we'll transfer you to the station for your onward journey to Nasca, where our staff will greet you.
Overnight in Nasca.
Note: Departure times depend on weather and port authority approval.
Meals: Breakfast
Today, the legendary Nazca Lines. After a briefing at the aerodrome in Ica, board a light aircraft for a 70-minute flight over the desert plateau, where colossal figures of animals, plants, and geometric shapes stretch for kilometres—so vast they can only truly be seen from the sky. Nobody knows who made them or why. Lunch follows, then free time at the Huacachina Oasis (buggy rides available at extra cost, on request). In the evening, we board the overnight bus to the beautiful city of Arequipa, where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight in Arequipa.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
A free morning, then the White City reveals itself. Begin at the Carmen Alto viewpoint overlooking terraced farmland, continue to the colonial Yanahuara district with its Andalusian-style church and sillar-stone arches, and step into the Monastery of Santa Catalina—a city within a city, closed to the world for nearly 400 years. Along the way, admire the Cathedral and La Compañía de Jesús, both carved from gleaming white volcanic stone.
Overnight in Arequipa.
Meals: Breakfast
Leaving the city behind, we cross the snow-capped Chachani, Pampa Cañahuas, a reserve where vicuñas roam free, pass the Mollepunco cave, and pausing at the Volcanoes viewpoint. On arrival in Chivay, check in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon.
Overnight in Colca.
Meals: Breakfast
An early start for the Cross of the Condor, where these magnificent Andean giants soar on the morning thermals above one of the world's deepest canyons—a sight you won't forget. We'll pass the villages of Maca and Yanque, break for lunch (not included), then continue on to Puno.
Overnight in Puno.
Meals: Breakfast
A full day on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake on earth. First, the floating Uros Islands—handwoven from totora reeds by the people who live on them—where you'll hear their legends, customs, and folklore. Then on to Taquile Island, a place of striking beauty where ancestral traditions live on, followed by a typical island lunch.
Overnight in Puno.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Today's journey to Cusco is an adventure in itself. Visit the Pucará site museum, pause at La Raya—the route's highest point at 4,335 m—and explore Raqchi, one of the great temples to the god Wiracocha. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani, then admire the church of Andahuaylillas, known as the Sistine Chapel of South America, before arriving in Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
A free morning, then explore the colonial city built atop Inca palaces. Visit the Main Square, the golden Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), and the Cathedral with its remarkable art. Continue to mighty Sacsayhuamán—fortress, temple, and observatory in one—then Q'enco, shrine to fire; Puca Pucara, the Inca checkpoint; and Tambomachay, sanctuary of water and fertility.
Overnight in Cusco.
Meals: Breakfast
Into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Wander the narrow streets and famous handicraft market of Pisac, enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, then discover Ollantaytambo—a living Inca town of ancient canals and foundations, crowned by a spectacular complex of terraces, forts, and the megalithic Real Casa del Sol.
Overnight in the Sacred Valley.

The moment you've been waiting for. Board the train to Aguas Calientes, then wind up by bus to Machu Picchu—a Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Heritage Site. A two-hour guided tour reveals temples, plazas, terraces, homes, and storehouses, all cradled by an extraordinary mountain landscape and a 32,500-hectare reserve. Lunch in Aguas Calientes, then the return journey to Cusco, where our team will meet you.
