Finally, we arrive in the city of Humahuaca, marking the highest point of the excursion, at 3000 meters above sea level. We have lunch and stroll through the historic center, where highlights include the Cathedral, the Cabildo, and the Monument to Independence, also known as El Indio. On the way back to Salta, we enjoy the view of the mountains located on the eastern range, especially the remarkable Painter's Palette, framing the town of Maimará.

Breakfast at the hotel.Full-day excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park

Early in the morning we set off to Tierra del Fuego National Park, which is located 12 km from the center of the city of Ushuaia. Before entering the National Park, we stop at the End of the World Train station (optional)

where passengers who wish may choose to take the journey of the mythical train (about 60 minutes) that ends inside the National Park. However, those who do not travel by train can enjoy a short walk in the Fuegian forest. Once the train tour is over, the group meets again inside the Park with the guide to continue the tour to Ensenada, a bay that combines the Andes, the sub-Antarctic forest and the sea in the same place. Native people inhabited there and their archaeological remains are found. We continue to Acigami Glacier Lake, shared with Chile, to appreciate the flora and fauna that will surprise us with their beauty, and Lapataia Bay,where the sign indicating that we have reached the end of the Pan-American route is located.
