After your breakfast at the hotel. Start your full-day excursion to Humahuaca Gorge:
In the morning, depart from Salta and travel along National Route 9, leaving San Salvador de Jujuy behind as you enter the gorge via the Cuesta de Barcena. Pass through the towns of Volcán and Tumbaya, then continue west to the enchanting village of Purmamarca, famous for the Hill of Seven Colors. Explore its historic church and the artisan market in the central square. Next, visit Tilcara and the renowned Pucará, a pre-Inca archaeological site. Continue past the Tropic of Capricorn to Uquía, where the chapel is considered one of the most beautiful in the region.

Finally, arrive in Humahuaca, the highest point of the excursion at 3,000 meters above sea level. Enjoy lunch and a stroll through the historic center, visiting highlights like the Cathedral, the Cabildo, and the Monument to Independence (El Indio). On the return journey to Salta, admire the eastern mountain range and the stunning Painter’s Palette framing Maimará.

Continue to Jesús María, renowned for its Rodeo and Folklore Festival, and explore the Jesuit Estancia San Isidro Labrador, a pioneer in regional wine production.

At midday, savor artisanal salamis or a traditional barbecue paired with local wines (lunch not included).
