Steigenberger Minerva Nile Cruise

Meet your Memphis Tours representative at Aswan Airport or railway station and transfer to the Steigenberger Minerva Nile Cruise. Cabins are available from around 12:00 PM. If you arrive earlier, your representative will coordinate luggage and sightseeing arrangements until the cabin is ready. After lunch on board, visit the ancient granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, then continue by motorboat to Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. Return to the vessel for afternoon tea, dinner and a Nubian cultural performance.

Walking: Light to moderate walking, including some uneven surfaces at the quarry and temple.

Good to Know: Philae Temple is on an island and is reached by motorboat. Cabins are available from around 12:00 PM; earlier arrivals will be assisted with luggage and program arrangements.

Sail north to Kom Ombo and visit its unusual riverside temple, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Continue to Edfu, where the Temple of Horus stands inland from the Nile and is normally reached from the docking area by traditional horse-drawn carriage. Return to Steigenberger Minerva Nile Cruise and continue sailing toward Esna, with afternoon tea and a traditional dress evening on board.

Visits: Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple

Walking: Moderate walking over stone and uneven archaeological surfaces.

Good to Know: Kom Ombo is directly riverside; Edfu is inland. State the horse-drawn carriage fare as included only after Operations confirms it.

After breakfast, explore Luxor's West Bank, visiting the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the vessel for lunch, then continue to the East Bank for Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Dinner is served on board, followed by your final overnight in Luxor.

Walking: This is the most active sightseeing day, with uneven ground, steps and some inclines.

Good to Know: Standard Valley of the Kings admission covers selected open tombs. Tutankhamun's tomb and other special-entry tombs require separate tickets unless specifically stated as included.

Enjoy breakfast on board, then vacate your cabin by around 8:00 AM. A Memphis Tours representative will assist with your transfer to Luxor Airport or railway station according to your onward travel arrangements.
