Being one of the best wadis in Oman, at Wadi Al Qahfi, the water flows most of the year and is distinguished by its fresh quality.
The Wadi offers plenty of activities to its visitors to choose from and enjoy the best time there.
Wadi Al Qahfi is located nearly 50 km (31 miles) from Wilayat Mahdah, Al Buraimi Governorate.
Head north from Muscat towards Sohar city. After about two hours, just after Saham and just before Al Qasabiyat, take a right turn and drive until the road meets the sea. Then continue heading north turning onto Route 7 towards Buraimi.
After about an hour, take the drift to Mahdah at the roundabout in Humaydah. Then drive through Wadi Sharm, a narrow valley with breathtaking views, this will take you straight to “Wadi Al Qahfi” in Al Fayy.
Scenery: The wadi is a great place for you to enjoy the scenery of rocky mountains and the palm through the way.
Swimming: There was a natural swimming pool below, where you can swim between the grey stones of the natural pools, and continue up the channel.
Good Place for Barbecue: You can make a fire and spend the evening barbecuing at mountain and relaxing under the open sky.
