You will be picked up to begin your Kenya wildlife tour through the scenic Rift Valley, heading toward Maasai Mara, the country’s most renowned reserve. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge and arrive just in time for lunch. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most iconic and frequently visited game reserve, also famously featured in the film “Out of Africa.” This sanctuary shelters an incredible variety of wildlife, including Africa’s legendary Big Five.

One of nature’s greatest spectacles takes place here every year: the migration of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles crossing from the Serengeti in Tanzania over the Mara River into the fertile Maasai Mara grasslands from late June. Bird enthusiasts will also find the reserve rewarding, with more than 450 recorded species. Covering over 700 square miles of golden plains, Maasai Mara surrounds Keekorok Lodge, the first lodge built in the reserve back in 1962. Perfectly located in the path of the Great Migration between July and October, it offers front-row views of this awe-inspiring natural event.

On the fourth day of your 7-day Kenya safari, the adventure continues as you head toward Lake Nakuru National Park. This shallow alkaline lake is globally celebrated for its breathtaking flocks of flamingos; at times, hundreds of thousands gather here, transforming the water into a pink shimmering spectacle. The park is also home to an impressive range of wildlife, from leopards often seen draped across the branches of yellow-barked acacias, to lions, buffalo, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, and baboons. Lake Nakuru is also unique for hosting the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, found only in this park, along with both the rare black rhino and the white rhino, carefully protected within its borders.

Accommodation is at Flamingo Hill Camp, a small and intimate property with just 25 luxurious tents. Far from ordinary camping, these tents are outfitted with modern comforts, blending safari charm with style. With warm safari-inspired décor, natural wood accents, and fine linens, each tent is designed to provide relaxation after a rewarding day of exploration.

After enjoying breakfast, you will leave behind Lake Nakuru National Park and journey onward to Aberdare National Park. This scenic reserve is defined by its steep forested ravines, misty peaks, and wide stretches of open moorland. Aberdare provides sanctuary to a rich variety of wildlife including elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks. Among its rarer inhabitants are the elusive Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval, African wild cat, African civet, and the shy blue duiker. Visitors here can enjoy tranquil picnics, trout fishing in sparkling rivers, or camping in the expansive moorlands. Birdwatchers are also rewarded with sightings of over 250 species, including Jackson’s Francolin, sparrowhawks, goshawks, eagles, colorful sunbirds, and lively plovers.

After breakfast at the Ark, bid farewell to the Aberdare as you set on your journey back to Nairobi. You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital city Nairobi in the early afternoon.

After an early breakfast at Nairobi Serena, you will be collected from your hotel at 0630 hrs to continue your Kenya wildlife tour with a visit to Nairobi National Park. Just a short drive from the bustling city center, this remarkable park offers sweeping grass plains framed by the backdrop of skyscrapers. It is home to an impressive range of animals such as the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalos, giraffes, and over 400 bird species recorded within its boundaries.

Next, visit the David Sheldrick Orphanage from 1100 hrs to 1200 hrs, where guests can interact with and even adopt baby elephant orphans.

Continue to the Giraffe Center, created by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (Kenya) Ltd. (A.F.E.W. Kenya). This sanctuary protects the Rothschild’s giraffe, once near extinction in the 1970s. Nestled within an indigenous forest, it also features a 1.5 km nature trail rich with birdlife—over 100 species—as well as occasional sightings of hyenas, warthogs, and even leopards. Guests can enjoy the rare chance to feed giraffes up close, along with activities such as bird walks, botanical walks, and immersive nature learning.

Enjoy a late lunch at the charming Talisman Restaurant in Karen before returning to your hotel between 1500 hrs and 1630 hrs. Later, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure flight, bidding farewell to Kenya with memories of an unforgettable journey and the promise of another adventure ahead.
