Your Nile journey begins in Luxor. On arrival at Luxor International Airport or the railway station, a Memphis Tours representative will welcome you and arrange your included air-conditioned transfer to the Sonesta St George Nile Cruise.
Settle into your cabin (Embarkation begins from around 12:00 PM) and enjoy lunch on board before setting out to explore Luxor’s East Bank.
Begin at the monumental Karnak Temple Complex, an extraordinary collection of sanctuaries, pylons and monumental halls developed by generations of pharaohs. Continue to Luxor Temple, once connected to Karnak by the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes.
Return to Sonesta St. George for afternoon tea, followed by dinner and evening entertainment on board.

After breakfast, cross to Luxor’s legendary West Bank, where some of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable royal monuments are set against the desert cliffs.
Explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis of the New Kingdom pharaohs, where richly decorated tombs were cut deep into the Limestone Mountains more than 3,000 years ago. Continue to the striking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the monumental Colossi of Memnon. Sonesta’s current official itinerary includes all four stops.
Return to the cruise for lunch as Sonesta St George Nile Cruise begins sailing toward Esna. Later, enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Cocktail, followed by à la carte dinner and evening entertainment.

Walking: Moderate to active, with uneven ground, steps and some inclines.

Good to Know: Standard Valley of the Kings admission covers selected open tombs. Tutankhamun, Ramses VI and other special-entry tombs require separate tickets.

Sail toward Edfu and, after breakfast, visit the impressive Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temple complexes.
Return to the vessel and continue sailing toward Kom Ombo. During the afternoon, Sonesta’s current program includes a ship tour with the Captain and an onboard cooking class, offering a more personal look at life aboard the vessel. Later, step ashore at Kom Ombo Temple, the unusual riverside sanctuary dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. The evening continues with Sonesta’s Oriental dinner and cultural entertainment.

Good to Know: Kom Ombo Temple is located directly beside the Nile. Edfu Temple is inland and is normally reached from the docking area by horse-drawn carriage.

Arrive in Aswan early this morning and begin with the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan's ancient granite quarries. Continue to the mainland embarkation point for Philae Temple, then cross by motorboat to Agilkia Island. Explore this beautifully situated temple complex with your Egyptologist before returning to Sonesta St George Nile Cruise for lunch.
Later, return to the Nile for a motorboat journey to Aswan’s Botanical Garden, a relaxed contrast to the morning’s archaeological sightseeing. The evening concludes with dinner and Sonesta’s Nubian entertainment program. The High Dam, Philae and Botanical Garden are all included in Sonesta’s current official 5-day itinerary.

Walking: Light to moderate, with stone pathways and steps at Philae and relaxed walking through the garden.

Enjoy breakfast on board before completing disembarkation. Your Memphis Tours representative will assist with your departure arrangements and transfer you directly to Aswan International Airport according to your confirmed onward journey.
