Welcome to Egypt. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, your Memphis Tours tour manager will meet you in the Immigration and Customs area, holding a sign displaying your name and the Memphis Tours logo.
After assistance with arrival formalities, transfer to your hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle. Your tour manager will assist with check-in and review your itinerary and confirmed sightseeing arrangements with you.

After breakfast, meet your private guide and travel to the legendary Giza Plateau. Stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza, see the iconic Sphinx and visit the Valley Temple.
Enjoy lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant before continuing to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) for an extraordinary introduction to ancient Egyptian civilization and its archaeological treasures. Return to your hotel after the visit.

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your included flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred privately to your confirmed Nile cruise for embarkation. Settle into your cabin and enjoy lunch on board before beginning your exploration of Luxor’s celebrated East Bank.
Walk through the monumental Karnak Temple Complex, famous for its vast courtyards and towering columns, before continuing to elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully positioned near the Nile.
Return to the cruise for dinner and your first night on board.

After breakfast, cross the Nile to Luxor’s legendary West Bank, where Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs created some of the ancient world’s most remarkable royal monuments.
Begin in the Valley of the Kings, walking into three of the standard tombs open to visitors on the day of your visit. Their richly decorated passages offer a vivid glimpse into ancient Egyptian beliefs about royalty and the afterlife.
Continue to the striking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, before stopping beside the monumental Colossi of Memnon.
Return to your cruise for lunch as you begin sailing south, leaving Luxor behind and watching the scenery of the Nile unfold from the deck.

Wake to another day on the Nile as your cruise reaches Edfu, home to one of Egypt’s most beautifully preserved ancient temples.
After breakfast, your Memphis Tours guide will accompany you by horse-drawn carriage from the riverbank through the town of Edfu to the Temple of Horus. Passing through its monumental gateway, explore the grand courtyards, columned halls and sanctuary of this remarkably complete Ptolemaic temple.
After your visit, return to the cruise and continue sailing south. Enjoy lunch on board and time to relax on deck as palm-lined villages and farmland pass along the riverbanks.
Later, arrive at Kom Ombo, where the temple rises directly beside the Nile. Step ashore and walk with your guide to this unusual double sanctuary, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Its mirrored courts and halls make it unlike any other temple along the river.
Return to the ship after your visit and continue sailing toward Aswan, enjoying dinner and your evening on board.

Wake in Aswan, where the Nile landscape becomes wider, quieter and distinctly Nubian in character.
After breakfast, visit the ancient granite quarries and the remarkable Unfinished Obelisk, which offers a fascinating look at how enormous monuments were carved directly from the bedrock.
Continue to the river and board a motorboat to Philae Temple, beautifully set on an island and dedicated principally to the goddess Isis. The approach across the water is part of the experience, revealing the temple gradually against the Nile landscape. Return to your cruise and enjoy your final afternoon and evening on board.

After breakfast, disembark your Nile cruise in Aswan. For one of Egypt’s most memorable archaeological experiences, join an optional early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel, where the colossal rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari overlook Lake Nasser. The scale of the façades and the story of how the temples were relocated to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser make Abu Simbel one of the most extraordinary sites in Egypt.
Afterward, transfer to Aswan Airport for your included flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred privately to your hotel.

After breakfast, travel north through Jordan to Umm Qais, ancient Gadara, set high above the Jordan Valley with sweeping views toward the Sea of Galilee and surrounding countryside.
Continue to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman provincial cities in the Middle East. Walk with your local guide through its grand colonnaded streets, plazas, temples and theaters and imagine the city at the height of Roman rule.
Later, visit Ajloun Castle, the impressive 12th-century hilltop fortress built during the era of Salah al-Din.
Return to Amman in the evening.

From the Visitor Center, walk toward the entrance of the Siq, a dramatic narrow gorge framed by towering sandstone cliffs.
Follow the ancient passage until the magnificent Treasury gradually comes into view—one of travel’s most memorable reveals.
Continue exploring Petra with your local guide, discovering carved façades, tombs and monuments that tell the story of the Nabataeans and the trading city they created more than two thousand years ago.
After your visit, walk back through the Siq and return to Amman.
