Welcome to Egypt. Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, your Memphis Tours tour manager will meet you in the Immigration and Customs area, holding a sign displaying your name and the Memphis Tours logo. You will be assisted with arrival formalities before being escorted to your hotel by private, air-conditioned vehicle.
At the hotel, your tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your itinerary with you, including the confirmed pick-up times for your upcoming tours.

After breakfast, meet your private guide and set out for the legendary Giza Plateau. Stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza, see the Sphinx and visit the Valley Temple before enjoying lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant.
Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) for a deeper introduction to ancient Egyptian civilization, then return to your hotel.

Optional Experience: Entry inside the Great Pyramid can be arranged at additional cost, subject to availability.
Good to Know: Great Pyramid entry is limited and may require an earlier start. The internal passageways are narrow and warm and may not suit guests who are uncomfortable in confined spaces.
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your included flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Nile cruise for embarkation.
Later, explore two of Aswan’s highlights with your guide: the Temple of Philae and the ancient granite quarries containing the impressive Unfinished Obelisk. Return to your cruise for dinner and your first night on the Nile.

Good to Know: Included Cairo-Aswan flight times are confirmed according to airline availability and may require an early-morning departure or early start. Domestic flights include 1 checked bag up to 23 kg (50 lb) and 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (15 lb) per guest, subject to airline conditions.
Today gives you the choice of a relaxed morning aboard your cruise or an optional early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel. Guests choosing Abu Simbel travel south to explore the monumental rock-cut temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari before returning to Aswan in time for the confirmed sailing schedule.
Later, enjoy lunch on board as your cruise sails toward Kom Ombo. Visit the unusual riverside temple associated with Sobek and Horus the Elder, then return to the ship and continue toward Edfu.

Optional Experience: Abu Simbel Temples by road — available at additional cost.
Good to Know: Abu Simbel excursion requires a very early start and approx. 3½ hours of driving each way.
Enjoy breakfast as your cruise continues toward Edfu, where you will visit the remarkably well-preserved Temple of Horus. Return to your ship and continue sailing through the Esna Lock toward Luxor.
On arrival, explore Luxor’s East Bank, beginning with the vast Karnak Temple Complex followed by Luxor Temple. Return to the cruise for dinner and your final night on board.

Visits: Edfu Temple, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple
Good to Know: The local horse-drawn carriage transfer used for the Edfu Temple visit is included.
After breakfast, disembark your Nile cruise and cross to Luxor’s West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings, continue to the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and stop beside the Colossi of Memnon.
Later, transfer to Luxor Airport for your included flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Optional Experience: Sunrise hot-air balloon flight over Luxor’s West Bank.

Enjoy breakfast and free time according to your flight schedule before transferring to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Amman.
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, a Memphis Tours representative will meet and assist you before your private transfer to your hotel in Amman. Your representative will assist with check-in and review the arrangements for your Jordan sightseeing.

After breakfast, travel north to Jerash, one of the region’s best-preserved Roman provincial cities. Explore its colonnaded streets, monumental gateways, temples, theaters and public spaces with your local guide.
Continue to the Dead Sea, where you will have time to relax beside its mineral-rich waters and experience its extraordinary buoyancy. Return to Amman in the evening.

After breakfast, depart Amman for the approximately 2½-hour journey to Petra. From the Visitor Center, walk toward the entrance of the Siq and continue through this dramatic narrow gorge, surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs.
At its end, the Treasury gradually comes into view. Continue exploring key areas of Petra with your local guide, including the Street of Facades and Royal Tombs, before walking back through the Siq and returning to Amman.

Good to Know: Petra requires considerable walking over uneven surfaces. Comfortable walking shoes and a reasonable level of mobility will make the experience more enjoyable.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and free time according to your flight schedule. You will then be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for your onward journey.
