Our day begins with a visit to the iconic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of Vietnam's revolutionary leader. We'll also gain insight into his life of simplicity at his stilt house. Next, we marvel at the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique structure built on a single pillar in 1049 and resembling a lotus flower. Travel back in time with a stop at a nearby historical lake featuring a B-52 relic. Here, listen to the firsthand account of a local witness and learn about Hanoi's resilience in the face of war. Step into Vietnam's past at the Temple of Literature, the country's first university, showcasing stunning 11th-century architecture. Experience the heart of Hanoi with a thrilling cyclo ride through the bustling Old Quarter, overflowing with shops and street vendors. Uncover the secrets of Vietnamese coffee culture by discovering the legendary "Egg Coffee." Meet a renowned egg coffee artist at his hidden cafe, learn the brewing process, and create your own cup to savor a taste of Hanoi. End the day with a delicious local meal.

Nestled in Hoa Binh province, a scenic 3-hour drive from Hanoi, lies the captivating Mai Chau Valley. Imagine dramatic mountains cradling lush landscapes, dotted with traditional stilt houses. Here, the White Thai people, alongside Dzao and H'mong communities, continue their age-old way of life. Discover a secluded White Thai hamlet, where traditions thrive despite the modern world's embrace. Wander through vibrant corn and rice fields, strike up conversations with local farmers, and gain a glimpse into their daily routines. Enjoy a scenic hike, absorbing the tranquility as you pass by breathtaking sights. To top it off, experience the thrill of rafting down a calm stream. Learn the art of paddling a traditional homemade raft, feeling the cool water and the serenity of the surroundings.

This morning, hop on your bike and enjoy a leisurely ride along a village route that passes past a stunning view of mountains and rice paddies to a secret hamlet. Admire the breathtaking landscape of this region before returning to your accommodation for the evening. Travel via a mountain pass that offers stunning views of the surrounding valley and arrive at Pu Luong Nature Reserve. After checking into your lodge, spend some time exploring the lovely retreat, which has serene surroundings and breathtaking views.
Villages of Uoi and Lan; 4 km hike plus 40 minutes of cycling; around 3 hours
Head to the lovely valley in front of the Retreat so we can take a leisurely walk beside a waterfall on a rice terrace. Proceed along the trails lined with trees until you arrive at the foot of the mountain, where you will discover a charming Uoi town. After stopping for a short rest at a local's home, descend to explore the area on a bicycle around the lovely village of Lan. As you continue deeper into the area, pass by more nearby villages and rice terraces. If time allows (which is not certain), we hope to visit a nearby residence and watch a demonstration of brocade weaving.

Trekking trails that are captivating | 4 kilometers of easy walking in around 3 hours. Take in the crisp morning air and listen to the birds singing as the sun rises. Descend into the charming valley nearby so you may stroll among the rice paddies that cascade. Once you get to the base of a large mountain and the settlement below, continue on the winding paths through the forest. To get to the valley level, pass through towns and open spaces, farms and highways, rivers and lakes, mountains and plains. Admire the view as you go to a charming place where you may interact with the locals through a range of cultural exchanges. After lunch, head back to Hanoi, arriving toward the end of the day.

After breakfast, get into the van and travel to Ha Long Bay, which is home to thousands of breathtaking limestone islets and grottoes rising out of the Gulf of Tonkin's emerald waters. Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. After boarding the boat, take pleasure in a welcoming drink upon arrival. As you pass a variety of charming stone islands, floating villages, and isolated beaches, unwind and enjoy a delectable seafood meal. Before swimming or unwinding on the sundeck, we'll stop by a floating fishing hamlet in the afternoon to talk with the residents and discover more about their everyday life. Dinner will be served, once the boat has anchored at the peaceful overnight location

Wake up to an early Tai Chi class on the sundeck, or simply unwind and enjoy the breath-taking views of Ha Long Bay while the boat cruises slowly past gorgeous karst mountains. Magnificent limestone caverns may be visible this morning or the day before, depending on your itinerary. After checking out of your accommodation and returning to the boat to clean up, cruise near the dock for a delicious brunch before disembarking at midday. After that, our car will return you to Hanoi.

After nighttime, Hanoi is much different from what you see during the day. The city is now dazzling, vibrant, and lively with its night activities. The adventurous journey scored big time by riding a vintage Vespa visiting city sites and sampling local food. A night of fun and surprise begins at a rooftop bar with panoramic views of St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Old Quarter. Continue driving through bustling streets, small lanes, and lovely tree-lined avenues, all of which have a rich hidden history and culture. We’ll also make a few stops along the way to sample some of the local
delicacies. Conclude the night by visiting local clubs and lounges where the young and elderly alike congregate to relax and display their own tastes.
